Freedivers seek coaching and training for any number of reasons! Whether you are interested in improving your breath-hold, have a PB you'd like to learn how to successfully train for, work towards accomplishing AIDA certification, want to learn a new discipline or improve your technique, we've got you covered! Want to sign-off AIDA 2, 3, or 4 certificate requirements? Or learn how to train and improve your freediving? Then pool sessions are for you! During these sessions, we support you towards achieving your goals. You are welcome to come to one-off sessions, or book multiple and commit to training towards your specific goal. For those working towards AIDA certification requirements, these sessions are available to work towards your current cert level. You may need to come to more than one session to complete all of the relevant pool requirements. WHAT: Includes: - Pool Entry Fees - Personalized coaching and instruction towards your goals/relevant certification requirements - Equipment: Mask & Snorkel, Weightbelt & Weights, Fins Does not include: - Any additional personal equipment: i.e. pool wetsuit, etc. - AIDA Certification fee (when achieved, would be an additional €20) * WHEN & WHERE: Summer sessions - @ Markievicz Sports and Fitness Centre in Dublin run for 1 hour bi-weekly: Wednesday evenings 8-9pm currently available: - August 27 WHO: - Participants must be aged 18+, or from 10 years with parental consent. - Must have either the equivalent of a minimum certification or participation in AIDA 1 level course, or relevant freediving experience. - Note; these sessions are shared with other freedivers in training - if you'd like to book a private session for just yourself or yourself and a buddy, send us a message. FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN BUDDY TRAINING: These pool training slots are currently being prioritised for coaching and course participants. This Spearfishing private group course is full of important information, practice, and hopefully a bit of craic regarding all foundational things related to Irish spearfishing and underwater foraging! We will go in-depth into foundational spearfishing and foraging techniques, safety, equipment, regulations, identification, best practice, tips & tricks, and fish cleaning techniques. The information pertaining to the natural environment is geared toward Irish and UK waters. This course is for those with relevant experience, or at least having completed an AIDA 1 or equivalent course. Spearos of all levels are welcome to come and improve your safety, equalization, efficiency, and sustainability. No previous experience is necessary for this 1-Day Freediving Taster Course! Curious about trying freediving? Interested but don't have the time to take a full 2-day Course yet? Perhaps you are wanting to learn spearfishing but need to learn the foundational essentials? This course is great for those both without any experience, and with a bit of experience. We will get into the initial basics and practice of breath-hold! You and your group have the chance to try-on and get familiar with freediving gear, get in the water, and try your hand at diving underwater. Your group will receive enriching course learning material in the weeks leading up to your course, which must be completed by course start date (approx. 3 hours long). Everything at this level will be kept shallow, and always we work in a completely safe and fun environment!
