The best way to improve your diving and get the most out
of your freediving vacation is to work with a coach on both developing a personalized plan, and moving through that
plan together. We offer personalized coaching [includes both
dry and in-water sessions] to improve your breath-hold, equalization and diving technique.
Why not just "go-with-the-flow?" Training technique actually improves not just "performance" but actually enhances your experience under water. By becoming more efficient, you will
find your state of relaxation, meditation, and time enjoying the ocean will all benefit tremendously. As a by-product, so will your numbers!
Whatever your goals are, we'll help you move towards them
by honing a strong foundation in a safe and fun environment. Individuals come to us with all sorts of areas of focus including
but not limited to:
- Equalization [beginner and depth/advanced]
- Deepening relaxation
- Competition training and coaching
- Discipline specific focus [i.e. static, no fins, etc..]
- Other - what are you hoping to work on?
Training sessions are arranged for either morning or afternoon.

Join us on our intro course - no experience necessary!
We'll get into the fundamentals of freediving including
relaxation, breath-hold, equalization, safety and other
theory. Includes AIDA 1 certification with the opportunity
for AIDA 2 certification!
Course runs all day for two days [morning to late afternoon
with lunch break - note, lunch not provided]. Additional
sessions can be booked based on individual needs to
complete certification.

A 1-day AIDA 2 Cross-Over Certification is available for

AIDA 2 Freediving Foundations Course

AIDA 3 students will deepen their freediving skills and theoretical knowledge, and have the chance to learn and practice techniques such as freefall and streamlining, among others.
They will learn more how to create and follow their own training plans and tables, enhance their safety skills, and become more confident in their practice of depth and pool disciplines.
The AIDA 3 Advanced Course are aimed at; those who have completed an AIDA 2 Certification, any already certified freedivers who would like to cross over to AIDA [contact for Cross-Over AIDA Certification info].
Course runs for three full days [morning and afternoon each day, with lunch breaks - note, lunch not provided]. Additional sessions can be booked based on individual needs to complete certification.

AIDA 3 Advanced Freediver Course

AIDA 4 is for any experienced freediver [with minimum AIDA 3 or equivalent] who wishes to hone their skills even more! This course not only prepares you and certifies you to be qualified as an AIDA Assistant Instructor, but it also introduced you to advanced techniques such as Mouthfill Equalization, Uddiyana Bandha, Freediver nutrition, and more.
Course runs for four full days [morning and afternoon each day, with lunch breaks - note, lunch not provided]. Additional sessions can be booked based on individual needs to complete certification.

AIDA 4 Expert Freediving Course

Join us in Dahab for your chance to swim alongside some of the most incredible and still vibrant coral reef in the world! Emerald Freediving will take you to Dahab's most magical underwater spots.
Regular sightings of hundreds of fish and coral species, with common visits from turtles and rays! If you're lucky, we might spot a friendly whale shark or get the opportunity to play with a passing dolphin family!
Must be a strong sea swimmer and comfortable in open ocean waters. Freediving or sea snorkelling experience required.

About Us
Donegal-born Dave McGowan and Canadian Charlie Gray met a few years ago along the Red Sea in sunny Dahab. With 12 years of freediving experience between them, teach out of Egypt through the winter, and are looking forward to Summer 2022 with you diving the Emerald Isle!
